DIY Contact Microphones

Explore piezoelectricity and the joys of simple contact microphones. Learn to solder by building your own sound capturing device from a crystal and some wires! Maybe you'll dip it in tool rubber and make a hydrophone? No previous skills are required!

Circuit Bent Toys

Learn to solder while making fun sounds from second-hand keyboards and toys. Bring anything battery powered that makes sound and make it weirder! Trey is from Missoula, MT and has been an electronics enjoyer since a young age; From building tube amps and modifying existing circuits to reverse engineering antiquated electronic devices. He is self taught in circuit analysis and design through the writings of Allen Strange, Paul Horowitz, and Ray Wilson. When he’s not following traces and figuring out what makes things tick, he enjoys putting the circuits of his synthesizers to work making acid house and techno in his home studio.

Get intimate with the physics of speaker drivers and the enclosures they call home. Speaker Fort Proprietor and Wave & Circuit Founder, Jay Bruns, will guide participants through the many fun and simple ways to house and enhance your speaker drivers for fidelity and Art!
